| The ten
tableaux which hang on the walls of the Saint Pius Elementary School Auditorium portray the two millennia of the history of the Catholic Church. Each tableau displays two centuries. The chronology begins on the right wall. The paintings done in acrylic-oils on canvas were illustrated by Patrick Soper of Lafayette between May 2000 and August 2001. They were donated unto the sacred memory of Joan “Chuch” Migues Blanchet. The reading of the historical data of the tableau will follow a set pattern. Reference will first be made to the central figure if there is one, or figures, if there are more than one, and then reading will continue clockwise from the upper left hand corner.
